I recently finished reading "The Gospel of Yes" by Mike Glenn. In his book the author reminds us that our faith in God is not about all the no's like "Thou Shalt Not..." but instead about all the yeses...the powerful, wonderful, good and abundant things of God.
This is a good book for new Christians giving them some insight into God's goodness and faithfulness, as well as a great reminder for those who have known the Lord for a long time.
One of my favorite things included in this book is a wonderful way to share how God, being a just God, required payment for sin and how Jesus became that perfect payment (pages 64-67). That is why salvation is a gift... and not something that we have to try through our own works to earn.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I was provided with a free copy of this book by WaterBrook Multnomah Publishers in exchange for my honest opinion.
