Christmas Eve has always been a special evening for my family, even when I was growing up. Gone are the days, though, of hair in uncomfortable curlers,white choir robes with big red bows, and a quick snack before running off to church. Instead, our Christmas Eves are more of a relaxed affair with an early church service followed by a nourishing meal, special enough for the night that it is served.
Nothing's worse than opening presents being hungry! Of course, that's if you open them on Christmas Eve...
