Book Review: Walking on Water When You Feel Like You're Drowning

Do you know someone who suffers from anxiety, depression, a compulsion or other control issue?  Maybe you?

"Walking on Water When You Feel Like You're Drowning" by Tommy Nelson and Steve Leavitt takes the "stigma" away from emotional challenges that so many face in this era of high demands (whether placed on ourselves or placed there by others) and high stress.   While acknowledging the suffering of so many, they offer a Biblical perspective on how to deal with this debilitating issue.  In some ways, this is a self-help book (God, you and your family), yet the authors also note the importance of professional help as well.

Emotional issues can be an opportunity to learn how to trust God more to handle the challenges we face in life.  Like anything, permanent change takes time, commitment and focus.  God understands our struggles and is waiting to carry us across the water.
