We have been doing a lot of entertaining lately so we have decided to celebrate New Year's Eve at home with just our family. I, for one, am looking forward to hanging out and vegging. Who knows. I may even stay awake until midnight. But maybe not. Starting out the new year dead tired doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

- Eggs (fried or scrambles that include various veggies like spinach, mushrooms, onion, etc.); bacon or sausage; avocado; fruit/berries
- Oatmeal with fruit, nuts, and yogurt
- Weekends normally include sprouted wheat waffles or pancakes
Mid-Afternoon Snack:
- Apples or bananas with almond butter
- Vanilla chia seed pudding
- Kefir smoothies
- Monday: Crispy fried chicken strips; roasted ranch potato wedges; broccoli salad
- Tuesday, New Year's Eve: Clam chowder; whole wheat french bread; Caesar salad
- Wednesday: New Year's Day menu
- Thursday: Salisbury steak; brown rice; green beans
- Friday: Leek soup; fresh fish; baked potatoes; sweet & crunchy Brussels sprouts; pumpkin custard with pecan topping*
- Saturday: Tortilla soup; green salad
