I enjoy the busyness of this time of year, putting up fruits and vegetables for another time when we question if we'll ever see the sun again through all the dark clouds heavy with rain. And so it begins.
Monday
B: Oatmeal with strawberries
L: PB w/ bananas & honey on toast; raw veggies & dip
D: Dinner out with friends
Tuesday
B: Fried eggs; whole wheat cinnamon bread toast; grapes
L: Beans & rice; veggies & dip; fruit
D: Chicken creamy pasta & broccoli; steamed carrots; garden salad; mock frozen yogurt
Wednesday
B: Cinnamon French toast with orange slices
L: Peanut butter on apples; cheese slices; raw veggies & dip
D: Wilted mustard greens & bacon omelets; fried potatoes, Salade de carottes râpées; poached pears
Thursday
B: Baked soaked oatmeal
L: Stuffed baked potatoes; raw veggies & dip
D: Spaghetti; toasted sourdough garlic bread; garden salad; strawberries & cream
Friday
B: Scrambled eggs with sausage; toast; peaches
L: Leftovers
D: Fresh fish; herbed rice; garden salad with simple vinaigrette; plain yogurt with blueberry compote
Saturday
B: Waffles with leftover blueberry compote; bacon
L: Cheese, fruit, and soaked almonds
D: Homemade pizza; Caesar salad; zesty orange salad
Sunday
B: Scrambled eggs; sausage; toast; leftover zesty orange salad
L: Grilled cheese on sourdough; veggies & dip
D: Meatloaf; mashed potatoes & gravy; peas & carrots; garden salad; strawberry sorbet
