DIY Italian Sausage

Fennel Seeds
This recipe transforms boring ole ground meat (any kind) into something so yummy and flavorful.

We love it in spaghetti sauce, scrambled eggs, pizza... any place you want to use ground meat but want a little zing!  Dried fennel seeds are part of that authentic Italian flavor, so don't skip those.

Italian Sausage
  • 1 pound ground turkey, pork, or beef
  • 1-1/2 t dried Italian seasonings
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 t black pepper
  • 1 t Oregano
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/8 t red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 t dried fennel seeds
  1.  Add seasonings to uncooked ground turkey.
  2. Brown meat.  Use as desired.
