Being the mother of two tween-agers, I was excited to be able to review "The Passionate Mom: Dare to Parent in Today's World" by Susan Merrill.
Mrs. Merrill's book discusses current topics that affect most if not all parents, using the Old Testament book of the Bible, Nehemiah, as her inspiration.
I appreciated her insight and advice, supported by many stories of her own parenting journey.
The main "take-away" I got from this book was to stay true to my God-given convictions when parenting my children. Each child is a unique individual and should be treated as such, meaning that just because they may have reached a certain age doesn't mean that they may be ready for a certain privilege.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I was provided a free copy of this book by Thomas Nelson Publishers in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thanks for visiting my site, Susan! It's a privilege to have the author of a book review stop by. Many blessings!
