Menu Monday, April 29

Bread bakin' day today.  Everybody loves bread bakin' day.  It's amazing how quickly an entire loaf of fresh bread can be devoured by people that aren't even hungry.

This week, I got out my copy of "Simply in Season".  It's a great resource for seasonal recipes...go figure :).  You'll see those recipes marked (SIS). 

B: Oatmeal with blueberries  
D: "Kitchen sink" omelets; fresh bread; spinach salad

B: Eggs; sprouted wheat blueberry banana bread; fruit 
D: Spaghetti & green salad


B: Cinnamon bread French toast; pears  
D: Taco salads with shredded beef & black beans 

B: Eggs; bacon; toast; orange slices

D: Hamburger patties; spinach squares (SIS); brown rice

B:  Oatmeal with apples, raisins & walnuts 
D:  Starter: Beet soup
      Main: Fresh fish; red pepper risotto; roasted asparagus

      Dessert: Homemade strawberry ice cream

B: Sprouted wheat blueberry pancakes with maple syrup; eggs; fruit 
D: Layered fiesta bake; green salad

B:  Sprouted wheat waffles; peaches; sausage   
D:  Starter: Stuffed mushrooms
      Main: Grilled steak; roasted red potatoes; marinated radish salad (SIS)

      Dessert: Leftover homemade ice cream
