Real. Honest. Raw.
Those three words come to mind as I think about reading through Lysa TerKeurst's new devotional based on her book "Unglued". Although I have not read the inspiration for this book, I was inspired by the devotional. Lysa's devotions deal with real life, real families, real people. She holds nothing back. Her honesty in challenges she has faced or is facing makes me feel like I'm having an honest heart-to-heart with a trusted confidant.
In this world where everyone seems to be a perfect mother or wife, other than me, Lysa let me know that I am not alone. But that even so, I am God's daughter and that I have so much to celebrate about who He made me to be.
The daily devotions are short, most about three couple pages long. The content, though, in those short pages speaks volumes.
I highly recommend this book.
