Yummy Healthy Granola
Yummy Healthy Granola
- 4 cups rolled oats
- 1/4 cup sucanat
- 1/2 C walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 C almonds, coarsely chopped
- 1/4 C sesame, sunflower and/or pumpkin seeds
- 2 t ground cinnamon
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 C apple sauce
- 2 T honey
- 2 t pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 C dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 1/3 cup dried blueberries or snipped dried apricots or apples
- In a mixing bowl, stir together oats, sucanat, walnuts, almonds, seeds and cinnamon.
- In a small bowl mix apple sauce, salt, honey and vanilla. Drizzle over the cereal and stir to coat. Spread the mixture onto a large baking sheet with sides. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 375º, stirring every 5 to 7 minutes, until the granola is crisp and golden.
- Store in an airtight container.
